Mission/Goals
Mission
The mission of the UAMS Office of Interprofessional Education is “To create, develop, and maintain collaborative partnerships with educators, clinicians, patients, and organizations throughout the State of Arkansas to improve the care of patients, improve the health of the population, decrease the cost of care, and improve provider satisfaction/wellness by utilizing innovation in interprofessional education, research, and practice.“
Strategic Goals
The UAMS Office of Interprofessional Education (IPE) has developed a strategic goal framework that supports a horizontal organizational structure that bridges across UAMS’ five- health professions and the Graduate School, clinical delivery system and our research enterprise. These strategic goals support the vision of the Quadruple Aim; to improve patient health care, to improve population health in Arkansas, reduce cost of health care in Arkansas, and improve provider satisfaction. The Office of Interprofessional Education with the support of UAMS leadership has created a Quadruple Aim Executive Leadership Team. This team consists of five core pillars that are the five strategic goals that are essential to meeting the Quadruple Aim. The teams will map existing initiatives and resources while implementing new initiatives within these five areas to track UAMS’ progress as an institution toward the Quadruple Aim. These goals are:
- Quadruple Aim Focused Curriculum
- Faculty Development
- Scholarship/Research
- Development
- Collaborative Practice
